The Practice
Donaldson & Partners has been caring for animals in the Huddersfield area for nearly 100 years. The first surgery was located near the town hall. In those days, the majority of the work involved treating horses which were important for transportation and the farming industry. Calls were made to the surrounding area on horseback and treatments were rudimentary. After World War 2 the emphasis of the practice changed and farm animals provided the dominant part of the case load.
The practice still serves in excess of 150 farms and 1500 horses. However, in the last 15 years the domestic pet side of the practice has grown and grown. In keeping with this growth we have continuously invested in premises and equipment to provide the highest standards of pet care facilities.
